You already know that we sell strollers and kids clothes, and you’ve probably seen the toys and games we’ve got throughout our stores for kids of all ages. But our kid-centric interests go far beyond clothes and games. We host a variety of classes and activities for kids, from yoga classes and storytime to musical performances and parents’ groups.
Looking to encourage your kids’ love of music? Breakfast with Enzo, the popular Bay Area children’s musical performance by Enzo Garcia, has been a longtime Friday morning staple at our Presidio Store, and now he’s taking his act to Walnut Creek. He’ll be performing for kids (and their parents) on Mondays, June 18 and 25, and July 2, from 10am-noon at Sports Basement Walnut Creek. Enzo can also be found at our Presidio Store on Fridays from 10am-noon.
Maybe you’d like to help your child channel his or her inner yogi? Our Presidio Store offers a weekly yoga class for kids on Sundays at 12:30pm. Targeted to children age two and older, the class teaches basic yoga poses and gentle stretching while the kids think they are playing. At our Walnut Creek store, parents learn breathing and relaxation techniques while guiding their babies through an Itsy Bitsy yoga class. Classes are on Saturdays, June 23 and 30.
If you’d rather workout with your child, our Sunnyvale Store’s Baby Boot Camp classes offer the perfect opportunity. Classes combine strength-training exercises with cardiovascular drills, Pilates, yoga and abdominal exercises to help improve core strength. Your stroller, our resistance tubes and your child are used as integral parts of the workout. Class meets on Wednesdays at 9:30am, and the first class of each month is free. Our Walnut Creek store also hosts occasional Art in the Park events at Heather Farms Park, which include a craft as well as storytime and songs. And our Presidio Store hosts Golden Gate Mothers Group events. And this is all in addition to our school partnerships program, backpack and school supply drives, and the host of school- and team-sponsored events we host on a regular basis. We’ve got something to suit every kid, and we make finding the right event for you and your child as easy as, well, child’s play.
